The River Adventures offered by Headwaters Outfitters include all paddling equipment. The following equipment rental rates are for those who are interested in taking a canoe or kayak to another river or lake.

• CANOES & KAYAKS subject to availability, may be rented on a daily basis.

• Not available on weekends in July and August or on holidays.

• Canoes/kayaks are not to be used on any whitewater rivers above Class II.

• Customer reads, acknowledges, agrees to, & signs our equipment rental form.

• Rental price for canoe includes 2 paddles /2 life jackets. For kayak prices it includes 1 paddle/1 life jacket.

• Have a safe system for transporting canoes or kayaks.  Bring your own cam straps & rope, or we have some availabe for puchase in our store.

• Rental prices are subject to NC sales tax.

• A minimum damage & security deposit of $700.00 is collected per canoe or kayak. Check, credit card, or cash is accepted.

• All rental equipment must be returned damage free. Structural damages, such as a hole puncture through boat, will result in loss of the corresponding deposit. For minor repairs, we charge the material cost in addition to labor fees at $45.00 per hour.

• All rental equipment must be returned clean. We offer a $20.00 per boat cleaning fee.
