Tubing Trips on the French Broad River
in
Western NC
We offer an approximately
2 hour tubing trip down the French Broad River.
This trip is Class 1 water, which is the
mildest class rapid, so it is a great relaxing
trip, not an adrenaline sport. The average water temperature
in the summer is 65 degrees.
MAKE
RESERVATIONS, we have limited space, and we book up fast!
 The
$20 tubing trip fee includes your tube,
lifejacket (yes, you are required
to wear your lifejacket at all times while on the
river!), transportation to the put-in location, a riverside
orientation by your river host, and transportation back
to the Headwaters River Shop upon completion of your float. Gratuities
are not included in this price.
You
must arrive and be READY TO GO for your Tubing Adventure
AT LEAST 30 minutes before your trip departure time.
Headwaters Outfitters
is focused upon the enjoyment and safety of all our guests.
Appropriate shoes are required- no bare feet, and
no flip flops. Any shoe that will stay on your
foot in a current will work just fine. We highly recommend
you wear plenty of sunscreen. These items
are available for purchase in our River Shop if you don't
have them.
To save time
on the day of your trip, print out our liability
release form. Have each memeber in the party read and
complete the form. All participants under 18 must
have a parent or legal guardian sign theirs, anyone
over 18 can fill out and sign their own. We do have these
printed out at our shop for you to fill out if you don't
have access to a printer.

depends on water level.
Trip
Fee Includes: Tube, life jacket, river safety
information, shuttles to and from the river, parking,
changing facilities and beautiful scenery!
**It Does not
include any gratuity for your river host.
